Where the Locals Eat

Some of them are out of the way, tucked into corners of shopping centers or along little-traveled roads, some of them are elegant and expensive while others are what you might call "a hole in the wall." But all of them serve good food. Some are Augusta traditions with rich histories and some of them are brand new. They've made our list of local favorites because we like them or we know people who like them.

Because of the crowds Masters Week, we suggest calling before dining. Some of these places are well known with out-of-towners and long waits are the norm ... other places on this list remain undiscovered. Although T Bonz is a chain and also appears on our chain restaurant list, the chain started in 1987 as a single restaurant here in Augusta, so we like to call it a local favorite.
